FAQ at Reform Dentistry

General Dentistry

We recommend that most patients visit us every six months for a routine cleaning and comprehensive exam. However, if you have a history of periodontal (gum) disease, we may recommend visiting every three to four months to maintain your oral health.

The American Dental Association recommends that a child should visit the dentist within six months of their first tooth erupting, or by their first birthday. Early visits help acclimate your child to the dental chair and allow us to monitor their jaw and tooth development.

Yes. At Reform Dentistry, we use advanced digital X-ray technology which emits up to 90% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. We only take X-rays when diagnostically necessary to ensure the highest standard of safety.

Procedures

A dental implant is a titanium post surgically positioned into the jawbone beneath the gum line that allows us to mount a replacement tooth or bridge into that area. Ideal candidates have good general health, healthy gums, and enough bone in the jaw to support the implant.

Absolutely. We understand that dental anxiety is a real concern. We offer inhalation sedation (nitrous oxide / laughing gas) to help you feel calm and relaxed throughout your procedure. It wears off quickly and you can drive yourself home afterward.

With proper care—including daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits—porcelain veneers can last between 10 to 15 years, or even longer. They are highly durable and resistant to staining.

A crown is a cap placed over a single damaged or decayed tooth to restore its shape, size, and strength. A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring a false tooth between two crowns placed on the adjacent healthy teeth.
