Expert Oral Surgery Procedures
While our primary goal is always to preserve your natural teeth, there are times when a tooth is too damaged to save, or when structural issues in the jaw need to be addressed. In these instances, oral surgery is necessary to restore your mouth to full health and prevent further complications.
Tooth Extractions: A tooth may need to be extracted if it is severely decayed, fractured below the gum line, or if severe periodontal disease has destroyed the supporting bone. We perform extractions with a gentle touch, minimizing trauma to the surrounding tissues to promote faster healing.
Wisdom Teeth Removal: The third molars, or wisdom teeth, often lack sufficient space to emerge properly. They can become impacted, grow sideways, and cause severe pain or damage to neighboring teeth. Removing them is a standard, highly effective preventive measure.
Bone Grafting: Following an extraction, the jawbone can deteriorate. We perform bone grafting to preserve the bone structure, which is an essential preparatory step for patients planning to receive dental implants.

The Surgical Process
Digital Diagnostics
We take precise 3D scans to map the exact location of the tooth roots, nerves, and bone structures, allowing us to plan the safest surgical approach.
Anesthesia & Sedation
Your comfort is paramount. We administer strong local anesthesia to numb the area completely, and provide your chosen sedation method to keep you relaxed.
The Procedure
Using specialized instruments, the tooth is carefully and gently removed. If bone grafting is part of your treatment plan, it is placed in the socket at this time.
Recovery & Aftercare
We provide you with clear, printed instructions on how to care for the surgical site, manage swelling, and what foods to eat to ensure rapid healing.
Do You Need Oral Surgery?
If you are experiencing severe, throbbing tooth pain, have swelling in your gums or jaw, or feel pressure from wisdom teeth trying to erupt, you may need an extraction. Delaying necessary oral surgery can lead to the spread of infection, damage to surrounding teeth, and more complex issues down the road. We are here to relieve your pain quickly and safely.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about oral surgery and extractions.
We prioritize your comfort above all else. During the procedure, you will not feel any pain because we use highly effective local anesthesia to completely numb the area. We also offer sedation dentistry to help you relax. After the procedure, some swelling and discomfort are normal, but this can be easily managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medications.
Wisdom teeth (third molars) often do not have enough room to emerge properly in the jaw. As a result, they can become impacted (stuck beneath the gums), grow in at severe angles, damage adjacent healthy teeth, or cause painful infections and cysts. Removing them prevents these serious complications.
It depends on the complexity of the extraction and your personal preference. Simple extractions can easily be done with just local anesthesia. For impacted wisdom teeth or patients with high dental anxiety, we offer inhalation sedation (nitrous oxide / laughing gas) to keep you completely relaxed and comfortable throughout the procedure.
When a tooth is removed, the jawbone in that area naturally begins to deteriorate due to lack of stimulation. Bone grafting is a surgical procedure that adds bone material to the empty socket. This rebuilds and preserves the jawbone structure, which is often a necessary step before placing a dental implant.
Initial healing, including blood clot formation and the reduction of swelling, usually takes about 3 to 7 days. We provide detailed post-operative instructions, including diet recommendations (soft foods) and hygiene practices, to ensure a smooth and speedy recovery. Complete healing of the bone can take several weeks to months.
A dry socket occurs if the blood clot that forms in the extraction site is dislodged or dissolves prematurely, exposing the underlying bone and nerves. It can be painful. To prevent this, it's crucial to follow post-op instructions: avoid smoking, do not use straws, and do not vigorously rinse or spit for the first few days.
If you receive local anesthesia only, you can safely drive yourself home. If you opt for inhalation sedation (nitrous oxide), the effects wear off within minutes of removing the mask — so you can also drive yourself home. Our team will confirm your specific post-appointment instructions beforehand.
We recommend resting for at least 24-48 hours after oral surgery. Strenuous physical activity and heavy lifting should be avoided for several days, as increased blood pressure can cause bleeding at the surgical site. You can gradually return to your normal routine as you feel comfortable.
