What to Expect at Your First Visit to Reform Dentistry

Starting with a new dentist can feel uncertain. We get it — and we've designed our new patient experience to make it as smooth and welcoming as possible. Here's exactly what happens when you walk through our doors for the first time.

Before your visit: Once you book online or by phone, you'll receive a confirmation and new patient forms you can complete digitally in advance. This saves time on the day of your appointment. You'll also want to have your insurance card and a list of any medications you're currently taking.

Arrival: Our front desk team will check you in and verify your insurance information. We keep wait times short — if you're scheduled at 9am, we aim to have you in the chair by 9am.

Your comprehensive exam: New patients receive a comprehensive examination that includes: - A full set of digital X-rays (unless you have recent ones from another office) - Periodontal (gum) charting to assess gum health - An oral cancer screening - A cavity check and review of any existing restorations - A review of your bite and jaw function

Meeting Dr. Al-Douri: After your hygienist completes the initial workup, Dr. Al-Douri will come in to conduct your exam, review your X-rays, and discuss any findings with you. He'll ask about your goals — are you just here for routine care, or are you interested in improving your smile?

Your treatment plan: If any treatment is needed, we'll present you with a clear, written plan that includes costs and insurance estimates. We never pressure patients. If you want time to think, that's completely fine.

You're in control: Your care at Reform Dentistry always moves at your pace. Welcome to the family.
